Dolgadfa has its own fishing offering exclutivity for its guests. The Dolgadfa beat runs for ¾ mile on the Dee and is widely regarded as one of Europe’s finest Grayling Rivers. The beat offers fly fishing for Salmon, Trout, Sea Trout and Grayling. Considerable river bank management work, has benefited fish habitat as well as the biodiversity. Professional Ghillie and supervision with an expert knowledge of the river and this beat is available by separate arrangement. Dolgadfa owns its own moorland lake with wild brown trout at the northern end of the estate. This Fishing Safari is a great day out in stunning surroundings. Due to the isolation of the lake access is by foot.




At Dolgadfa there is the breathtaking scenery of the Estate, the Berwyn Mountains and Dee Valley are on the doorstep. A short drive brings you to Arenig and Aran Mountains and the Snowdonia National Park with all the possibilities. Dolgadfa-Crogen is home to get wet the outdoor adventure activity company. The High Rope course is one of Europe’s highest and most challenging. Paint balling is also available from the same location.




Bala is home to Wales largest national lake and offers a wide variety of water sports. The white water course at the National White Water Centre on the River Tryweryn is renowned. Courses for Kyaking, Rafting and Caneoing. Sailing is also available on Bala Lake.

The wonderful seaside town of Aberdovey is just over an hour away, plus the stunning location of Lake Vyrnwy 40 minutes drive, the famous village of Port Meirion 40 minutes drive, the walking town of Betws-y-Coed and the world famous Bodnant Gardens all within an hours drive. Not to mention the numerous Castles, Slate Caverns, and all the wonderful National Trust properties in the region. There are numerous treking centres in the area for horse lovers, or how about a ride around one of the welsh railways in the area, not withstanding Snowdon Railway, Talyllyn or on the doorstep Bala lake railway.
